Educating with hands, heart, and imagination
The workshops of the FIHM Opera in Rome Workshops in Rome: “Places” for growth and relationships
At the Opera Nostra Signora di Fatima in Villa Troili—a center for spirituality, hospitality, and formation of the Family of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, on the outskirts of Rome—the Elsa and Aldo Antognozzi Foundation Onlus has created a series of expressive and educational workshops for children, young people, and families, in a space where creativity meets personal growth.
Afternoon workshops are designed to offer not only new practical skills but, most importantly, moments of relationship, listening, and individual talent appreciation:
✂️ Sewing Workshop: An opportunity to learn the art of tailoring, even in small steps, developing patience, precision, and manual creativity. Participants—girls, women, and children—create small and large tailoring projects, discovering the beauty of "making with their own hands."
🍳 Cooking Workshop: A journey through flavors, aromas, and ancient gestures, where children and young people learn to prepare wholesome dishes, sharing time and attention. It’s a way to strengthen bonds and pass on the culture of good, carefully prepared food, enjoyed together with parents, who arrive to taste the dishes made by their children, sharing a moment of joy with other adults, nuns, and priests present at the FIHM Opera.
🎶 Music Workshop: Dedicated to younger children, this space introduces them to the language of music through sound games, rhythm, singing, and simple instruments. It’s also a way to express emotions and nurture both individual and collective harmony.
🎨 Creative Workshop: Painting, drawing, animated reading, manual work, and imagination intertwine in activities that stimulate creativity and aesthetic sense, giving shape to the dreams and beauty each child carries within them.
These workshops are part of a larger educational project aimed at forming the whole person—mind, heart, and spirit—in an environment of trust, listening, support, serenity, and joy.
Supporting the Antognozzi Foundation also means investing in these concrete educational and caring experiences.
Because every child has the right to discover who they are, even through what they create, and every adult has the right to continue growing, fully expressing themselves.
